Applied Hydrographics offers a 3D decorating process, (hydrodipping) where elaborate graphics like wood grain, carbon fiber, camouflage, geometrical designs, etc... are applied to a product surface
The water transfer printing process extensively used to decorate items that range from all-terrain vehicles and vehicle dashboards, to small items like bike helmets, or other automotive trim. Hydrographics patterns/films can be applied to all types of substrates including plastic, fiberglass, wood, ceramics, and metal. For the most part, if the item can be dipped in water, the hydro-graphic process can be used.

The hydrographics process utilizes a water soluble film that contains the printed patterns. When the activator is applied, the film dissolves in the water, leaving the ink on the surface. In the typical process, the item to be dipped is first coated with a primer or an adhesion promotor. after this dries, a base coat of paint is applied. Certain film patterns require specific colors, while others can be completely customized to the customers wishes.
After the part is dipped, it is rinsed thoroughly, hung to dry, and then it is ready to be clear coated.
We offer several different types of clear coats based on the look the customer is trying to accomplish, from standard high gloss, matte finish, and an anti skid formula perfect for rifle stocks and other hunting accessories.
All products we use are highly durable automotive grade primers, paints, and clears
